Your guide to hosting a stress-free housewarming party

May 13, 2019

What good is a fabulous new house if no one sees it? Building your forever home is a milestone that absolutely deserves to be celebrated! Once you’ve purchased your Grant & Co. home, follow these tips and tricks to throw a top-notch (and hassle-free!) housewarming party.

Don’t rush

It can be tempting to invite your whole crew over immediately to show off your new space. But, we suggest waiting until your home is in reasonable shape. Now, no one expects you to have art on the walls and everything in its place, but take the time to separate your moving boxes by room - it will help with the clutter!

Time it like an open house

If you’d like to avoid large crowds showing up at the same time, throw an open house. Meaning, your guests are free to drop in any time during the span of several hours, rather than everyone showing up at the same time. Make this known on the email or Facebook invitation you send out!

Have one main spot finished

Decide which spot you feel your guests will be gathering in the most and have it as ready and organized as possible. Whether it’s the kitchen, living room or backyard, take the time to create a place for people to eat, drink and stay awhile.

Send us pictures of your housewarming get-together! We’d love to feature them on social media.

I loved everything about my loan officer, Kevin Ruby with Community Mortgage. Always friendly and provided timely updates. I would definitely refer this company to all of my friends and family!
