Meet Fern – Your Design Guide

Fern brings a calm, thoughtful approach to design,
believing that the spaces we live in should feel as good as they look. With a
background in graphic design and marketing, she has spent years turning ideas
into visuals that feel intentional, balanced, and welcoming. That same eye for
detail now carries into her role in the Design Studio, where she helps
homeowners feel confident and excited about the selections that will shape
their homes.

Before joining Grant & Co., Fern worked in a variety of
creative roles, from brand design and digital marketing to real estate
photography. Working behind the camera deepened her appreciation for light,
flow, and how thoughtful design choices can support everyday living. With a
personal love for wellness and mindful living, Fern is drawn to spaces that
feel grounded, comfortable, and truly livable. Today, she brings that
perspective into every project, helping create homes that are not only beautiful,
but feel like a place to exhale.

Step 1: Getting to Know You

When you arrive at the Design Studio, Fern takes time to understand your style, your priorities, and your must-haves. She believes the process should feel personal and collaborative.

If you are not quite sure what your style is yet, Fern recommends starting with inspiration - bring a Pinterest board of photos of spaces you love with you to the Design appointment. Touring Grant model homes is another fantastic way to experience different looks and colors in real life and discover what truly speaks to you.

While choosing every selection may feel overwhelming at first, our thoughtful processes turn it into an exciting, creative journey you will genuinely enjoy!

Once she understands your vision, Fern helps you establish the key elements that will shape the overall look and feel of your home. She encourages choices that are timeless and versatile, giving you flexibility to refresh your space over the years without losing its harmony.

With the foundation in place, Fer guides you through adding the personal touches that bring warmth and individuality to your home. She loves helping homeowners weave in details that reflect their taste and lifestyle, and she always reminds them not to hold back on the features they truly love.
