A recent survey by the website, Only in Your State, named three DeSoto County cities in the Top 10 Best Places to Live in Mississippi. Grant builds new homes in two of these cities.
OLIVE BRANCH – Having one of the lowest crime rates in the state makes Olive Branch a great place to call home, according to the survey. We would like to add to this list of reasons that Olive Branch is tops in places to live.
- The Olive Branch City Park is a beautiful 135-acre community park that offers tennis courts & ball fields, a playground, 3 lakes & an amphitheater. This park is one of the best family friendly parks we have ever seen.
- Ole Towne is the historic downtown areas of the city that features historic buildings, antique shops and regular entertainment.
- A great YMCA services this community with a huge list of services including an Active Older Adults Program, Aerobics & Group Fitness Classes, Before & After School Programs, Child Watch (while you work out), Circuit / Free Weights, Cycle Studio, Indoor and Outdoor Pools and Track, Sauna / Steam Room, Y Teen Programs and Youth Fitness Classes Check it out by clicking here.
- Some of the best schools in the state. Period. Click here for more school info.
- Grant so believes in Olive Branch that we are building in 7 Olive Branch neighborhoods. Check out Retreat at Center Hill, Forest Hill, Highlands of Forest Hill, Gwin Farms, Mitchell’s Corner West, Edgewater and Hawks Crossing East.
HERNANDO – The website lists Hernando as a top place to live because of its great schools and access to great paying jobs, but we love Hernando for other reasons as well.
- History is alive and well in DeSoto County’s county seat of government. Home to the historic county courthouse and court square where one of the state’s top farmer’s markets takes place every Saturday in the summer.
- The city has five National Register Districts, and various Mississippi Landmarks and individually designated buildings, including the 1925 Water Tower, which was the subject of a New York Times article and graced the cover the Grammy-nominated North Mississippi Allstar's Hernando album cover.
- Hernando is a Preserve America Community, a designation for cities blending historical assets with economic development efforts.
- Hernando is the perfect hometown for families wanting to get back to community neighborhoods with sidewalks, playgrounds, community schools and churches.
- Grant builds new homes in Crossroads of Hernando – one of Grant’s newest communities in DeSoto County.
