Owner's Bath is Top on the List for New Home Buyers

November 18, 2021

The number of bathrooms in a home is important to most home buyers and most are looking for a new home with a very nice owners’ bathroom as well as one or more children’s bathrooms and a half bath for guests.  Of these, the master bathroom has become a much sought-after location for a private retreat.

Home buyers who visit the Grant Design Studio agree, they want their bathroom to be a place where they can feel relaxed. A majority of our homebuyers want a spa-like atmosphere, a calm, clean, neutral ambiance that is created using natural decor elements, and a light, neutral color palette.

The shower typically gets used more often than the bathtub in most homes so home buyers want bigger showers with added features like multiple shower heads, built-in seats and frameless glass enclosures. Bathtubs are still desirable but freestanding soaker tubs are more popular than the built-in tubs with jets.  These contemporary tubs are becoming more and more popular because they don’t take up as much space and they are much easier to clean than a jetted tub.

Home buyers want bathroom fixtures that are beautiful, functional and conserve water. Saving money and the planet are both important, and doing so in style will catch a home buyer’s eye. Brushed nickel fixtures add a classic touch to a space while chrome is sleek and beautiful.  The Moen faucets in our Design Studio offer durability, beauty and water-saving technology. Choosing the right fixtures can make or break the look of a master bathroom, and home buyers are looking for the whole package.

Home buyers are always interested in storage space throughout a home, and the bathroom is no exception. Plenty of quality cabinetry is a necessity.  Either a large walk-in closet or two separate closets are always important for the owner’s bedroom/bathroom retreat.

Beautiful granite or quartz countertops add beauty and timeless elegance to any bathroom and there are so many difference choices in the Grant Design Studio.

Whatever your heart desires for your luxurious bath, you will find in the Design Studio.  Make your new bathroom your private at-home retreat.
