Grant Offers Trade Program in Sterling Place

Baby Boomers, the largest generation in history, are now empty-nesters and they are still controlling a large portion of the housing market – retirement communities. Sterling Place, the Grant & Company Active Adult neighborhood in Arlington, is the Memphis area’s premier for Baby Boomers and Grant is making it easier to “move down” with the new SAFE TRADE program. Most people in the 55+ age range are taking a look at getting rid of the big, older homes they purchased years ago for their growing families. Kids have grown up and moved away, so there is no need for the heavy-maintenance big yards and aging homes that are in need of repair and/or renovation. These active adults are looking for ways to enjoy their lives and new freedom with fewer hassles and less responsibility - and more modern, up-to-date floorplans. While they are eager to move on to this exciting phase of their lives, Baby Boomers may be having a little difficulty getting rid of their existing homes. They may feel stuck in their big house, using their savings to maintain or renovate it. With the GRANT SAFE TRADE program, home buyers at Sterling Place can choose their new home plan and begin construction – before they sell their current old home. Grant will pay for an independent third party appraisal at no cost to the Sterling Place buyer and will present the Sterling Place buyer with a sales proposal on their existing home. If that offer is accepted, the buyer will list the older home with a Grant Preferred Realtor. If the offer does not work for the buyer, the buyer is not obligated to move forward. Grant starts construction on the new home and the buyer does not have to wait for their old home to sell. When the new home in Sterling Place is ready to close, Grant will buy the home buyer’s existing home at the agreed upon price if it has not sold. SAFE TRADE is offered only to Sterling Place buyers and some restrictions apply, but definitely worth a discussion for those who do not want to wait to get their new lives started at Sterling Place.
