Hardwood is also easy to maintain. Rivertree Hardwood recommends cleaning hardwood by placing a cup of vinegar in a gallon of water. Place the mixture in a spray bottle and lightly spritz a mop before each cleaning. Hardwood flooring is beautiful and smart. According to the National Wood Flooring Association, hardwood may seem more expensive, but in fact, hardwood flooring generally last almost 30 years, while carpet lasts less than half that amount of time.
