Family Friendly Holiday Movies to Enjoy

This is definitely the holiday season where staying at home can be a wonderful time for your family to relax, enjoy each other and share some quality family time.  A great way to do this is to watch fun, family friendly holiday movies.  

So, stir up some hot cocoa and slip into your fav pj's.  Snuggle up with your little ones and let the holidays begin!


After learning that he was a human being raised by elves at Santa’s workshop, Buddy the Elf goes on an adventure to New York City to meet his real father. Buddy’s non-stop adventure from working at Gimbels to playing with his brother ends with one final task you need to see. This movie will keep your kids (and you) entertained from start to finish!

'Home Alone'

After being accidentally left home alone, eight-year-old Kevin McAllister has to protect the house from two burglars. Can Kevin outsmart two con men on his Christmas vacation? Get cozy and see how Kevin manages his time alone while protecting the house.

'The Polar Express'

This computer-animated movie is a must-see for every child during the Christmas season. A young boy boards a magical train on Christmas Eve; The Polar Express. Throughout the train ride to the North Pole, he learns about the true meaning of friendship, bravery, and most importantly, the meaning of Christmas. Sit down with your kids and enjoy a movie that teaches your kids to believe in the magic of Christmas.

'Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas'

This is a classic computer-animated Christmas movie that is enjoyed by kids and adults alike. This is an enjoyable Christmas story with a heart that grows three sizes. This is a must-see every holiday season!

'A Charlie Brown Christmas'

Charlie Brown attempts to direct a holiday musical but in return learns the true meaning of the holiday season. Whether you’re a little one or an adult, this is a movie every family should watch as Christmas approaches! Spoiler alert, it also has a great soundtrack.

'The Santa Clause'

What happens when you suddenly become Santa Claus? It’s a lot of work but comes with a few perks as Tim Allen will show you in this fun family Christmas movie. Get cozy and watch as Tim Allen quickly becomes the new Santa Claus and how it strengthens his relationship with his son.

‘Jingle All The Way’

There’s nothing these dads won’t do to get their sons the toy they want for Christmas. It’s a fun and lovable Christmas movie for kids and adults alike!

‘Frosty the Snowman’

This classic Christmas movie features the most popular snowman, Frosty The Snowman. To avoid having Frosty melt, Karen and Frosty try to keep a greedy magician from taking Frosty’s magical hat. Watch this movie and then go outside and make your own snowman (if you have snow)!

‘Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’

One of, if not the most popular Christmas movies for kids, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was teased for his unique, bright-red nose. It was on Christmas Eve when Rudolph’s red-nose guided the reindeer as Santa delivered the gifts. If your kids haven’t seen this Christmas movie yet, grab a blanket and turn it on!

'A Christmas Story'

A popular Christmas staple, A Christmas Story features the classic leg lamp, a wild Christmas wish list, and some of the most memorable one-liners (“You’ll shoot your eye out, kid”). Snuggle up with your kids and enjoy many laughs during ‘A Christmas Story’.
