Love the leather

Over the years, we’ve seen cabinets and drawers donned with brass handles, glass knobs and some with no handles at all! Now, in 2019, instead of traditional cabinet knobs, leather straps will serve as a way to open up those kitchen cabinets and drawers. Brown, black, tan - the color options span the neutral spectrum and will offer something beautiful and unexpected.

And, for those looking to ditch the cabinet facings altogether next year, they’re in luck too! The trend of open cabinets is expected to re-emerge in 2019.

Wowed by wood

In 2019, be on the lookout for designed ceilings in any room in the house. For many years, ceilings have been forgotten in some instances, left stark white with no design. Enter wood clad, wood planks and in some cases, even paint and wallpaper! These additions, especially those of wood, add a level of sophistication and yet some coziness as well to the home. 

Industrial meets modern

Exposed plumbing has been popping up in showers throughout 2018, and next year will bring even more of it. Offering an industrial feel to modern showers, having the hoses out in the open has been a hit among homebuyers as of late.
