Communication is key when building a new home
April 5, 2019
The process of building your future home is an exciting endeavor, and Grant New Homes is committed to making it enjoyable for our future homeowners. To ensure the process goes as smooth as possible, we’re adamant about keeping all lines of communication open. Follow these tips to make sure you’re properly communicating with your builder – and we’ll make sure to do the same!
Establish a method
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to communicating throughout the building process. Do you prefer face-to-face meetings? Are you more of an emailer? Is a simple text enough? Be upfront about how you’d like the line of communication to flow to make sure you’re communicating in a way that you feel most comfortable.
Meet regularly
Regular status updates are important for every homeowner, but some want them more frequently than others. Schedule regular meetings according to your comfort level - whether it’s weekly, biweekly etc.
Never hesitate to speak up
You should always feel comfortable voicing your opinion! We encourage you to ask tons of questions and tell us what you’re thinking every step of the way. This ensures we establish the best possible partnership and, ultimately, the best possible end product.
At Grant & Co., we have several scheduled meetings with our homebuyers in the office and on the construction site, and we provide them with a homebuyer’s guide, which lets them know the agenda for each meeting in advance. Our sales agents follow up regularly - from contract to closing - to make sure everyone is in the loop. They will call, email and text pictures of the progress of the homes – whatever it takes to make the buyer comfortable with the process. For 70 years, one thing that has never changed is our company's tradition of providing outstanding customer service. Our mission to build quality homes that exceed customers’ expectations and is our top priority at Grant & Co.
